MY FAMILY, by Sparkle

Hi, Peoples & Doggies! I am SUCH a lucky girl - for the last three weeks out of four, I've been able to spend time with my family...let me introduce them...of course you all know my Grammy and Gramps - they are SO special!

Me with my Gramps (and Grammy in the background!) See how he makes me smile?

Then there's Auntie Clucker, who is my mama's sister, and Uncle Football, who is her better half!

Everybody in my family has good hair.

Great Uncles Jeff and Harvey are on my Grammy's side of the family, and naturally, there's mama who helps me with my blog. And when Auntie Em and Auntie A., and Godfather give me their pictures, you'll meet them as well!

So anyway, we drove down to New Jersey for a family thing - only I stayed home with Uncle Football - he's teaching me to play poker!!! I think I have a "poker face" - unless someone walks by with food - then I lose my concentration! Mama and the rest of the group were down to mark a special occasion for a beloved cousin who passed away, then they went to a diner afterwards...and only my GRAMMY remembered to bring me any food (turkey!)! I guess everybody else was a little piggy and forgot about me! As soon as the family left, Uncle Football and I went into Auntie Clucker's kitchen where I promptly made a wetsie on my wee-wee pad - I so good!, and I stayed by the door a while, until I realized the family was gone for a spell, so I hunkered down in a big chair with Uncle Football. He LOVES me!!! I can tell he would LOVE me to live with him, but I couldn't bear to be away from my mama!

Then everyone came home, and we took a ride to see the new place where Grammy & Gramps are gonna move in the fall - very busy - but the apartment looks GREAT - and there's a room for me! We were in the sales house, and mama spied some cookies, so she made Auntie Clucker grab a bunch, several times, actually - and I ate some on our way back to New York. It had started to rain by then, and we had a LOT of traffic, but it was good to be with everyone. And then I SLEPT!!!

By the way, I'm also now listed on Dogster, so you can go there (www.dogster.com) and look me up and leave me bones and stuff - or you can also leave me messages here.
I especially want to thank everyone who checks out this doggie blogspot - most of you probably already know (and love) me, but it's nice to make new friends.

So that's my family - and I love them all!

'Till next time!

Mother's Day, 2006 by Sparkle

Hi, Everyone! I hope you all had a lovely day with your mamas and Grammys! I sure did...mama and I went for a walk before my Uncles picked us up - then we drove to PA where Grammy & Gramps live...I was wearing my pretty black dress with pearls - I had to look special for the occasion!

And when we got to Grammy's she had good FOOD ready for us - lots of CHEESE! I'm not supposed to eat it, but I got a few nibbles...
ANyway, all the rest of the company came (Auntie Clucker, Fleagle, Uncle Football, Cousin Molly) and after a while Auntie Clucker took me for a little walk (my second of the day - where I "complied" and probably lost a pound (if you get my drift!) - anyway, then we were ready to open gifts - I helped Grammy - I got her earrings! and I got my mama (with help from Grammy) a pretty pink top - then, another snooze on Gramps' legs (see bottom of blog) and soon it was DINNERTIME! I wandered back and forth between Grammy and Gramps where I knew I would get the most "handouts!" It was all VERY tasty - and afterwards, my belly was FULL, so I took a snooze on the floor. THen it was time to drive back to NY, where I slept on mama's lap all the way back. Mama said she smelled gas, and Uncle Jeff said he did too, only he thought it was from ME!!! Can you imagine? But it was fumes from outside. I wuz a very tired little girl, so once we got home (after 9PM) I crawled into bed and FLOPPED. And slept really well! Here's some photos for you - I hope you all honored your mamas and Grammys 'cause they're the bestest!
Love, xoxox Sparkle

I love Grammy and Gramps!

Kissing Uncle Harvey!

My little black dress

It's exhausting to have so much fun! Here I am pooped after a fine mother's day meal.

Me & Gramps!

This is my favorite photo from my belated birthday celebration - here I am sitting on Gramp's lap getting ready to blow out my candles! My Mama had to help me as I tend to spit...but Mama and I wished for the same thing - and we know my Gramps is gonna feel better real soon! I got a big basket full of gifts - two stuffed animals - including a BALLERINA! - and a red doggie holding a heart, and a bag of cookies (yum!) and another bag of peanut butter drops (DOUBLE-yum!) - which melted a bit and got smeared all over my face...and a bee-you-tiful pink sweater with little flowers - my Grammy ALWAYS knows how to dress me well!

And after everyone - my two Great Uncles, my Auntie Clucker, my Uncle Football, Grammy, Gramps, and Mama - sang "Happy Birthday" to me, we cut the cake and Gramps gave me a BIG piece!

I also spent the earlier part of the day sunning on the deck with my Gramps - and lying with him in the "elevator" chair - it's black, and it goes up and down, and when I smack Gramp's legs, he lowers it so I can jump on and rest my keppie on his ankles and snooze...You'll see a picture of me doing this on this very blogspot!

Anyway, it was a long day - I wuz a VERY tired little girl, and I snoozed most of the way back to New York. What fun! I wish I had birthdays more often! Thanks, everyone, who sent me good wishes!
