"Mama's Birthday!," by Sparkle

Oh joy! Yesterday was my mama's birthday and Grammy and Gramps and AUntie Clucker came up to see us! Uncle Jeff was taking care of Uncle Harvey (who got out of the hospital on Thanksgiving!), and Uncle Football was doing SOMETHING (I don't know what, but he sent a present!) and Cousin Molly went to Texas to see her daughter...so we was a small group, but a happy one!
First, let me show you my party dress:

It was BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL - and mama was saving it for her special day! Here's another view:

When we heard the buzzer I was SO EXCITED!!! Mama waited until the threesome were in the hall, then I tore out the door and greeted my favorite people! Once they got in our home - and Grammy gave mama TWO steaks for ME!, we sat on the sofa for proper greetings:

And let's not forget my AUntie Clucker!

And some MORE kisses!!!

Then we ate some pumpkin muffins and zucchini bread, and mama was told to open her presents - Uncle Football gave her fleece teddy-bear pjs with an eye mask so I can't see if she's awake or not! - and Grammy, Gramps and AUntie gave her wonderful clothes - I gave her a belt that Grammy helped me pick out! Then the ladies wanted to visit with the Uncles, so Gramps and I decided to stay home and just cuddle together - we so excited!:

After the ladies came back, we decided it was time to go to the pretty restaurant...I hopped into my case, and off we went...except I had to jump out for a minute and make a piddle...then it was back in, and we went to the back of the restaurant where we had a table - just the five of us - right next to a fireplace!

Mama and Auntie each had a glass of wine, and mama toasted her family for being with her...then after dinner she ordered a dessert with a birthday candle - and all the waiters came up to our table and sang "Happy Birthday" to mama!
It was getting late and the family had to go home - but I hope to see them real soon. Mama and I walked them to the elevator and said our thank-you's and bye-bye's - and we went back into our home. I wuz a VERY tired little girl by now, but I had such a nice day! Mama wants to thank everyone who called or sent cards, or just remembered her - that was VERY thoughtful - and I is one happy girl!

Happy birthday, mama!

"Just Before Thanksgiving," by Sparkle

Br-r-r...it's gettig COLD outside! Warm woofs to all my friends...I just wanted to take a moment and remind everyone (myself included) to count your blessings this Thanksgiving. We all have our share of problems, but if you're lucky like me, you also have huge amounts of love. In my case, Grammy is gonna bring me a steak this weekend, because mama and I are having a quiet holiday - but it's mama's BIRTHDAY this weekend! So I'll post a new blog in a few days and you can all see the pretty outfit we picked out for me. Meanwhile, don't make like piggies and get yourself sick, or get stuffed like the turkey - and if anyone wants to send me leftovers, I'm only too happy to give thanks! Or better still, be nice to a turkey and invite him to JOIN you at the table and just eat veggies!!! Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

November Visit!, by Sparkle

Warm woofs! I had the NICEST day a few days ago...Auntie Mary drove Mama and me to PA to visit Grammy & Gramps! They needed their "Sparkle fix" and I needed some steak, so it was a good exchange! AUntie Mary also brought her video to take more footage of me, since my last video on the web seems to be doing well...First, here's my hello!

And of course a pose with my Grammy!

Then, after our greetings, we had some snacks prepared lovingly by Grammy...soon it was time to be photographed! Here I am looking into Auntie Mary's lens...

I didn't realize I had to back away from the camera. so...anyway, it was decided that I should try on one of my new party dresses for Gramps:

Isn't it pretty? Gramps thought so, too!

Then we decided that I should put on the sweater I modeled for the Lord & Taylor Christmas catalogue...it has POM-POMS!!!

It was SO nice out on the deck, I was such a happy little girl!

Then, we decided I should try on yet ANOTHER outfit! I LOVE my clothes, and I always try to look pretty...

Gramps liked this one SO MUCH that he decided to share his carrot with me!!!

Now it was time to go to a grown-up restaurant so mama and Auntie Mary could have their salads...I got into my case and off we went...

For those of you who love my close-ups, here we go...

When we got back, it was all I could do to stay awake...so back to my FAVORITE place...

Pretty soon, it was time for us to head back to New York...so I was sad to leave my Grammy & Gramps, but I kissed them both goodbye...

And off we went! Special thanks to Auntie Mary for taking us...and I can't wait to see my family again! I hope you all enjoy nice times with YOUR families!
