An Impromptu Saturday!!! by Sparkle

Woof-woof!!! Did I ever get a nice surprise?!!! Grammy and Gramps decided on the spur of the moment that they missed me TOO MUCH for another week to go by, so since they had some NY errands to do, they decided to come visit!!! Mama dressed me in a pink/black number that says "Spoiled Rotton" in sparkles - can you imagine?!

First we were off to Fortunoffs to see if they could alter Gramps' watch (they couldn't...) - but on the way out, Grammy, Mama and I stopped to look at JEWELRY!!! We found some GORGEOUS stuff - even a ring that would go nicely with Grammy's engagement ring (emerald cut - SO pretty!) - this had bagettes in diamonds all the way around - and guess what - it fit Grammy PERFECTLY!!! It's unfortunate that they didn't have chairs there, 'cause when Grammy asked the price, I thought everyone was gonna faint...anyway, from there we went down the street to CARTIER's!

This time we were taking in one of Grammy's watches for an overhaul - and they DID have seats - BIG, comfy grey velvet chairs and a sofa...Grammy fell asleep in the chair, and I popped out of my bag to wander along the sofa - Mama looked at stationary, and Gramps was just waiting to hear the price...OH MY GOODNESS!!! Good thing I don't wear a watch!!! Although I DID suggest that we get me a small diamond ring which I would wear on a chain around my neck...tres pretty, oui???
So from there, Saks Fifth Avenue was a mere two blocks and we went there!!! Of COURSE we had to look at more jewelry...

We also looked at pretty scarves, all these nice winter things, and OH, the MAKEUP!!! I was in Heaven!!!
But after our wandering, we decided to go home and get something to eat. Fortunately, Grammy and Gramps were in the mood for a good pizza - which birdie-face LOVES - so mama ordered us one. I stayed near Grammy 'cause SHE shares with me!

Then Gramps decided he wanted to brush me (even though I was due for a grooming), so I sat in his lap and he used a very soft brush...I make a big deal about it, but I actually enjoy it...

And pretty soon it was time for them to say bye-bye - although Grammy left me TWO steaks to eat this week! And I think everyone that reads this should send in some money so we can buy Grammy the pretty ring! Thanking you in advance,

"Weekend Update," by Sparkle

A-Rooooooo! Woof! Boy, did I ever have a ruff-ruff week! I hurt my leg on a walk with mama, and several hours later, there I was in the HOSPITAL being x-rayed!!! It turns out that I didn't break anything, but it cost mama $441.00! Anyway, Grammy & Gramps were VERY concerned, so on Sunday, they took a bus up to make sure I was okay - and Grammy brought me a BUNCH of steaks!!! Here's my wonderful Grammy:

Many of you will notice I'm wearing my pink summer frock with big polka-dots - and it has RUFFLES along the bottom - very flirty, oui? And here I am with my GRAMPS!

Nice shot, eh? Then mama took a close-up of me cause she's still amazed that the pink bow is in my hair...

Oh...I guess you can't really see it in that photo, huh? Anyway, we ate bagels and lox and muffins and Vitamin Water - YUM!!! and then we decided we would go visit Great Uncle Harvey and Great Uncle Jeff...I was wandering around the apartment and I happened upon a glass of something reddish, so being the avid adventurer I am, I dipped my nose in. After a few laps, I ran back to mama - she didn't know what was all over my face until she got up to have a "look-see," and lo and behold, there was Uncle Harvey's TOMATO juice - delish!!!
Anyway, it was a quick visit, and we all had a nice time, but mama didn't bring no camera, so I'll have to end this post with another photo of me and Gramps. I 'specially want to thank Grammy & Gramps for coming to see me - I am MUCH better - just about 100%!!! - and I was so happy to see them...now I'm eating steak all week!
